Got your letter last night dated Aug. 5th. Think you meant Sept. n'est-ce pas? Very glad to get it because I'd lost your address again. Am at Bde. School with my platoon now, and hope to go to Paris & Rome for two weeks leave on the 28th of this month. Got a letter from Grace last night, she said she had heard from you
And Brem & myself the day she wrote me. If you get to France before the 28th Pork, try to look up the 3rd Bde. School. That's where I am, or drop me a card with your address and I can get away any time to find you. I've got a whole bunch of snaps here Pork that you'll enjoy seeing --- expect you have a lot the same though. Remember the "close-up" ones of Marg and Mary? They're nearly worn out now.
Must hike off to parade now, will finish this later. Later- Have just come off parade; have been lecturing on Lewis Gun to a bunch of officers of our Bde. and my hands are rather oily so please excuse any smudges on the page. My batman, a Scotsman named Bobbie Scouse is away and I don't know where he gets water for a wash. I expect he's out taking "une petite demoiselle" to the movies or something like that. How do you like the picture I'm sending? I look a bit ashamed of myself don't I? We were having trouble to keep Bruno quiet and I just glanced up as the thing snapped.
Well Pork, Best of luck, and write be just before you leave England, will you?
Your sincere friend,
G. B. Chisholm
Now called "Nemo"
