Robert Kerr Chisholm (1819-1899) was the son of Col. William Chisholm (1784-1842). He was the husband of Flora Matilda Lewis, and managed the Old Post Office for nearly 53 years. In 1856, R. K. Chisholm built the Custom House (29 Navy Street). He was the father of Allan Stuart Chisholm, George Chisholm, and Alice Chisholm Parish. He is buried at the Oakville/St. Mary's cemetery near his wife. |
