12. 10 Park Avenue- "The Manse" - Home of Rev. James Nisbet.James Nisbet (1832-1874) was a minister in Oakville from 1850-1860. Joined Reverend John Black in Kildonan, Manitoba to do missionary work. His wife, new baby and her sister travelled 500 miles by ox cart to the Northwest Territories to work among the aboriginal people. He founded and named the place they settled Prince Albert, in honour of Queen Victoria's consort. In the late 1860's he returned to Kildonan, where he and his wife died within a week of each other.
