Photographed in 1991. William Wass (1817-1892) conducted an Action Mart, which auctioned land lots, cleared farm areas, and farming equipment. Originally from County Lincoln, England, Wass had established himself as an actioneer (Snider's Corners) by 1852. Later, he also became a land and real estate agent, and was quite successful. He is the father of Gordon H. Watts. |
